This game got off to the worst possible start as the Woods conceded after just 28 seconds. However, the side played their way back into the game with some wonderful passing which culminated in Byron Bubb finishing off a fine passage of play on 11 minutes and Northwood were on level terms again.

From here on in the Woods dominated the game against a more experienced, physical but fair opposition, but with the first half nearly over they conceded against the run of play to go in at the break 2-1 down.

After the break Northwood played as they had done in the first half, but just could not find the equaliser despite having several opportunities.

The game finished 2-1 but this young side performed really well on the day and the future looks bright for a few of them, in particular Julian Smith.
